Update — New Port Needed

Well, I had to have the port in my chest taken out because it kept getting infected.

I had just not been feeling right for some time so kinda figured it might be the port because it had gotten infected before. So, my doctor looked at it and said it needed to be taken out.

I had to go back in the hospital first because they could not remove the port while it was infected. They took care of the infection, then my doctor removed the port.

However, since I still needed to get fluids, it was decided that another port was needed.

They did it in the doctor’s office and I joked with the doctor all through it.

I didn’t know how it would be but turns out it was not too bad.

I am doing great. My leg still hurts though.

Really glad they got that other port out because it had been infected more than once.

I am enjoying being able to get up and around better now and feeling good.
