I just got back from the beach.
I had the most precious week.
I have decided that cancer WILL NOT rob me of the things and places I love.

It felt strange to see the National Guard everywhere and all the boats and skimmers. They are working around the clock to keep the oil off the beaches and they were doing a great job when we were there.

I got to have dinner with my other son who lives near Gulf Shores and his wife, and we visited with their children’s families too. Wonderful vacation.

I am back and feeling strong and ready to face the last three chemo treatments, and move on to the next stage of my wonderful life.

I went to Gulf Shores with my daughter Patty and my precious niece, Sherria. Sherria has been taking me to many of my doctor appointments and she’s always a smiling, sweet and loving person through it all. My nephew Derek also. And my daughters, all in their own way, have helped me.

Debbie takes time off work every two weeks to come and be with me after my chemos, which is so helpful.

It is family that has made everything go by faster than it would have otherwise and I’m so grateful for my family.
