Gulf Shores Vacation at the Beach
My Vacation in Gulf ShoresMy daughter Neva treated me to a week on the beach for Mother’s Day this year.
We used to live in Gulf Shores and it’s still one of my favorite beaches to visit. We rented a nice house about two blocks off the beach. It was perfect because it was far enough off the main road to not hear a lot of the traffic and, at the same time, close enough for a relaxing walk to the beach.
I think I slept more than I was awake for the first few days. We had wonderful, mild, sunny weather for almost the whole time we were there. The little bit of rain we did get was refreshing and welcome.
We ate crab claws, twice! Love those crab claws. I thought of my other daughter, Debbie, cause she loves them too. Wished my whole family could have been with us.
Also got to visit with some of our family that live in Gulf Shores, that we hadn’t seen in a while. It was so nice to see Dave and Linda, Gene and his wife and their sweet baby girl.
Neva and I also went by the South Baldwin Theatre, where we both were in plays when we lived here. They were having an outside rummage sale and it was so nice to see some of the people we had such fun with, doing plays.
