God’s Favorite Spots
14. April 2008 by admin.
God’s Favorite Spots
Copyright, Mary Rachels
I feel that if God has
two favorite places on earth
it must be on the mountains
or near the sea.
I seem to feel his presence
at either place.
Perhaps it’s because these
are two of the few places left
that have remained less changed by progress.
The fisherman’s boats are bigger perhaps
and the mountains have fewer trees…
But all in all the two remain
closer to what they were
when God first moved his hand
across the void
and spoke them into existence.
There is a beauty about the sea
even when it’s raging
and in the primitiveness
of the mountains
there is a feeling of safety.
